Meghan McCain’s slot on ABC’s “The View” will be filled by a rotating group of conservative co-hosts for now, starting with former Utah Congresswoman Mia Love, when the talker returns for season 25 on Tuesday, September 7. Also in line for the hot seat are former Secretary of State Condoleeza Rice, CNN host S.E. Cupp, former Fox News host Gretchen Carlson, and former presidential candidate Carly Fiorina, among others. New mom McCain left the show in August after four seasons, unwilling to leave her home in Washington, D.C. for the NY-based show. Former hosts will also return to fill in and celebrate the show’s 25th anniversary.

The “Nancy Drew” spinoff follows a Black, gay, billionaire inventor played by Tian Richards (“Burden”), who abandons his lavish lifestyle when he is embroiled in a world of sci-fi conspiracy. “Nancy Drew” showrunner Melinda Hsu Taylor and co-creator Noga Landau created the new series with Cameron Johnson (“Empire”). “Nancy Drew” executive producers Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage will also executive produce the spinoff, alongside Lis Rowinski of their Fake Empire banner. CBS Television is producing.

MeTV is celebrating the late Ed Asner with Lou Grant-focused episodes on Sunday September 5 from 2p-3:30p, as well as an episode of “The Alfred Hitchcock Hour” featuring Asner at 1a. Decades Network is also honoring the beloved actor, who passed away August 29 at age 91, with a 1980 interview from “The Dick Cavett Show” on Friday, September 3 at 9p, and a weekend-long binge of “The Mary Tyler Moore Show” starting Saturday, September 4 at 12p.

Warner Bros. Television Group has signed a new overall deal with “Hacks” co-creators Lucia Aniello and Paul W. Downs, and their production company, Paulilu Productions, after a competitive situation. WBTVG will now serve as Paulilu’s exclusive home for all new television ventures in a deal that calls for Aniello and Downs to develop original television programming for all platforms, including WarnerMedia’s HBO Max, external streaming services, cable, and the broadcast networks.
Magnolia Network ordered two new shows, set to debut next year. “The Craftsman,” from Warm Springs Productions, features master craftsman and woodworker Eric Hollenbeck giving new life to historic homes, while Pie Town Productions’ “The Art of Vintage” centers on designer Katie Saro offering styling and design tips while transforming spaces.
Magnolia also greenlit pilots for “One Big Day with Bob Goff” (wt), starring the author and speaker, and “From Grandma, with Love” (wt), focused on generational cooks from around the world.
Simone Swink has been elevated from senior broadcast producer to executive producer of ABC’s “Good Morning America.” “Simone is a dynamic, thoughtful and creative leader, experienced in collaborating across platforms,” said ABC News president Kim Godwin in a note to the staff. “I’m confident that she and the GMA team will continue to lead the show in new and innovative directions.” Michael Corn left the job in April, and is now President of NewsNation.
Judy Greer (“Kidding”) and Katy Mixon (“American Housewife”) landed leads opposite Renee Zellweger and Josh Duhamel on NBC limited series “The Thing About Pam.” The show is based on a true crime story involving a man who was convicted of killing his wife.

CBS’ “Survivor” is back for season 41 on Wednesday, September 22 – with some twists. Production has been shortened from 39 days to 26 days, and host Jeff Probst will break the fourth wall to address the audience. “I cannot remember a time when I’ve been this excited to launch a new season of Survivor,” said Probst , who is also an executive producer on the reality competition. “Survivor 41 features a really likable group of savvy Survivor players and they are in for the most intense, most difficult and most dangerous season we’ve ever done.”
Apple TV+’s “The Problem With Jon Stewart” debuts Thursday, September 30. The current affairs series will be hosted and executive produced by the former “Daily Show” host through his Busboy Productions.
UK’s CBBC teen boy band comedy-drama “Almost Never” launches on Disney Channel Saturday, September 4 at 11a, followed by five new episodes. A marathon of the remaining seven episodes kicks off September 5; beginning September 7, episodes will air Monday through Thursday at 6:30p.
Season three of Netflix drama “You” debuts Friday, October 15. Season two was number five on the streamer’s list of its most popular series in 2019.

fuboTV will take its integrated predictive, free-to-play games and FanView live stats feature out of beta in time for the September window of the South American Qatar World Cup 2022 Qualifying matches. fuboTV has exclusive streaming rights to CONMEBOL through March 2022. Starting September 2, fuboTV subscribers can stream CONMEBOL matches, use FanView to monitor stats and scores next to and under a reduced-size video player and play free predictive games using their remote control and without having to open another app. Both free games and FanView can be toggled on or off.
Redbox has expanded its content agreement with Anthem Sports & Entertainment, adding two additional channels to its streaming service: AXS TV Now, and combat sports platform Fight Network.
Foxtel Media and LG Ads have forged a new Connected TV partnership that provides Australian brands with an avenue by which to reach viewers on LG Smart television sets. The partnership will deliver interactive, native display advertising assets across LG Smart televisions, and Foxtel Media will be the exclusive sales agent for LG Ads in Australia. Native ad units available include LG’s Home Launcher banner, wedge ad units, hero ads, and content store tiles.
Series Mania announced three new partners for its Series Mania Institute, an initiative devoted to training the makers of European TV series. Newen has joined as a founding partner; also jumping onboard are France Télévisions and Entreprises et Cités.
Media Ranch format “Things My Dad Failed To Teach Me” has been picked up, is in production, and will air on TTV Poland (a TVN/Discovery Group Channel) with nine episodes this fall. The format has also been picked up on Norway, and it is in development in The Netherlands.
Bell Media has ordered new seasons of Great Pacific Media factual series “Highway Thru Hell,” “Heavy Rescue: 401” and “Mud Mountain Haulers,” for Discovery in Canada.
